Budget Update - It's the start of another fiscal year in California and there's supposed to be a new state government budget in place. But to no one's great surprise, there is no budget, and there seems to be no immediate prospect of one being passed. Today on Insight, we'll talk with Capitol Bureau Chief Marianne Russ about it. We'll also discuss a couple of new California laws that take effect today.
Amanda Scott - Local romance novelist Amanda Scott is certainly prolific. She's written more than 50 books, many of them set in medieval Scotland. Her latest book of passion and suspense is titled "Tempted by a Warrior" and it comes out today. You'll meet Amanda Scott and hear about her work.
Sister Crayon - There's quite a lineup at tomorrow's Concert in the Park in downtown Sacramento, including The New Humans, Sea of Bees and Chelsea Wolfe. Also on the bill is Sister Crayon, a Sacramento band that plays ambient electronic pop. The band also has a new record out, and plays a big festival in Michigan later this month. You'll meet the band and hear some of their music.
